At our Siemens Foundational Technologies Development Center we are focused on a product development including software development, hardware development, mechanical design, and testing for the next generation concept of Industry 4.0. OMS is a critical software component that forms the backbone of many SIEMENS products. It's based on a Client/Server Architecture and an object-oriented design with different data models. The server component is integrated into the majority of controllers that we deliver to the market, while the client component is integrated into various HMIs and engineering systems, which serve for design. OMS supports various security mechanisms, configuration management, file transfer, and subscriptions for value updates. We are seeking experienced Tester with solid knowledge of C++ and good grasp of Linux and Windows operation systems. Your task will be: * Developing functional tests for new features defined by customers. * Implementing and maintaining functional tests to keep or increase test coverage. * Take over shared responsibility for some module tests. * Enhancing and maintaining test code, including adding regression tests and making structural changes when required. * Participating in the test automation process, particularly in the upgrade to up-to-date tooling like GitHub / GitLab. * Providing support for other projects that use OMS. * Assisting the team with bug fixing. * Coordination of work with colleagues in Germany. What we will appreciate from you: * Proficiency in C++ * Strong knowledge of object-oriented programming principles * Experience with test development using Visual Studio and GNU compiler / Make * Experience with test development on Windows and Linux platform * As advantage: * Proficiency in test development under Linux * Familiarity with scripting languages such as Python * Experience in developing platform-independent code What can you gain by joining us?
